THE KICK is an 8-piece group of talented musicians that have come together to consistently deliver high energy performances. The Kick features Nicks’ powerful & soulful vocals upfront. He has been part of the N.Y. music scene since his first appearance at the age of 5 at the New York World’s Fair. Nick is an original member of The Citations and has also performed on stage with Grand Funk Railroad & Humble Pie. Nick owes his talent and love for music to his late brother Joe Lupo. Joe was fortunate to have played with music legends like Eric Clapton and The Yardbirds, The Rascals & Leslie West. Nick brings to THE KICK a lifetime of musical experience.
Gary has been playing bass with Long Island bands for years. Gary cites just about every studio musician who ever picked up a bass as an influence. His old school classic tone and great chops are the foundation for band’s sound.
Victors drumming has been a mainstay on the Long Island music scene for 30 years. He has played with local favorites "NXT", "The Mercury49s" and “Only In America”. Victor is also a featured member in All The Kings Men which has played shows in Atlantic City, Las Vegas and the legendary Westbury Music Fair in New York. His high energy and enthusiasm has made him a crowd favorite.
Joes’s whirlwind schedule has him playing a variety of solo and ensemble gigs throughout the tri-state area, including dueling pianos shows. He is also a member of the Billy Joel tribute band Glass Houses. Joe’s musical career is wide and diverse, spanning from private piano lessons to acting as musical director for theater productions.
Josh is a band director at Westhampton Beach High School where he directs the Symphonic Band and pit orchestra. He can also be seen playing trombone in the bands Night Work and Big Band East, as well as with THE KICK.
Joe has been playing professionally since he was 15 years old. Mr. Boardman is a man without boundaries, performing in all genres of music. His classical efforts include playing with The Atlantic Wind Symphony, Long Island Brass Society and The Suffolk Concert Band. He is also noted for his Jazz performances. Joe holds a B.S. in music education from William Paterson College and an M.A. in music performance from SUNY Stony Brook.................

Phil has deep roots in the N.Y, music scene for the past 25 years and is a rocking bluesman who has found a second calling for his guitar: jamming R&B favorites and soul tunes with THE KICK!! Phil has shared bills with Buddy Guy, Foghat, Dave Mason, Bo Diddley, Clarence “Gatemouth”Brown, NRBQ, Double Trouble, Joe Bonamassa, Popa Chubby & John Cafferty.
